Now that GNOME 2.16.1 is officially out, there was some review going on
dealing with the GNOME 2.16.1 platform code....

Besides HAL and DBus, support can be provided to develop GNOME-related 
applications on most legacy Solaris OS releases. KDE apps can be built with the
existing KDE 3.4.x libraries if the user wants to use the KDE apps while in the 
GNOME desktop environment.

The move to GNOME 2.14.3 was proven successfully as production desktop for 
all Sun Solaris releases sold by Sun. Now, we will see if GNOME 2.16.1 will 
give us the same benefit.
