Sun ships the Fluendo MP3 plugin with Solaris, but cannot ship it for OpenSolaris users. You should tell the folks at Fluendo (http://www.fluendo.com/) that you would like to see them sell the MP3 plugin for Solaris users, and then you can buy the plugin to legally play MP3's in OpenSolaris. There is no other way to legally use MP3 format on OpenSolaris to my knowledge. Brian
