Cool link - thanks for that! I guess FreeBSD are in the same boat as 
Solaris at the moment, and like that project we've already got Artem 
rocking on providing HAL for Solaris.

The problem is just making sure that we're up to date with the latest 
bits and pieces that are happening in the upstream community and making 
sure that we do a good job of tracking that. Previously with GNOME we 
were focusing too heavily on providing a really solid desktop for our 
current Solaris release - at least now we'll be able to continue doing 
that, but also track what's going on with the next version of GNOME out 
on OpenSolaris [1]

     porting modules to unstable 2.15.x! ROCK!
