Hi Brian,

Since this is an older version of GNOME, you'll need to tweak things in 
/usr/share/mime-info and /usr/share/application-registry.

is a link to the MIME section of the system administration guide which 
will take you through changing your preferences.

 From what I remember, Realplayer installs the correct files - 
realplay.applications, realplay.keys and realplay.mime. It may just be a 
case of tweaking the 'gnome-vfs' prefixed files. The MIME system in v3 
is incredibly broken, and should be significantly improved for the GNOME 
we're currently integrating into Nevada.
