Siva, For Evolution, only the evolution jescs connector can support the "send email" alarms. And actually it is the calendar server that send out the alarm mail. For other calendar backends (for example, local), currently they cannot support this feature. So the default alarm notification in Evolution is to show an alarm dialog.
So if you are using the evolution with the jescs connector, when you create an appointment, you can choose the alarm type as "send mail" manually.
