I upgraded a system to Build 52 from Build 41 today. The system is a SHuttle SNP52 barebone with Athlon 64 / 1 GB ram / Nforce4
Then the system could not mount a CD/DVD. I svcadm disabled dbus & hal & rmvolmgr . tried mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s2 /mnt and just got back "no such device" A truss shows that mount(2) exits with ENXIO . Otherwise everything says that the device should be there /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s2 exists and points to is corresponding node in /devices/... /etc/path_to_inst has the drive listed. The DVD Drive hangs off the Nforce4 PATA the Nforce 4 SATA drives works. While dbus & hal& rmvolmgr is enabled the eject(1) command works and states that it ejected /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s2 Is this a problem with the new removable media arch. Or a more basic driver issue ? //Lars This message posted from opensolaris.org
