(Note to self: really need to get this menu in the UI spec.) I'm not sure Help really is all that necessary to be honest... anyone who knows how to access a desktop context menu probably doesn't need Help badly enough that they can't find it on the Launch menu :) I suppose it's nice from a consistency POV though, as the keyboard shortcut for Help (f1) also works when the desktop is focused. > , not so sure about the resolution entry. If we can fix it so that it doesn't appear when the RandR extension isn't available, then I don't mind keeping it. Otherwise it just comes across as stupidly broken (with Xsun), in which case I think we should lose it and restrict people to changing the resolution via the Launch menu entry. People who need to change resolutions often (probably very few, overall) can always add a launcher to their panel, or set up a keyboard shortcut to open it. BTW, whatever happened to the "Use Default Background" option we used to have on this menu? Now that was one I /did/ use :) Cheeri, Calum. -- CALUM BENSON, Usability Engineer Sun Microsystems Ireland mailto:calum.benson at sun.com Java Desktop System Group http://ie.sun.com +353 1 819 9771 Any opinions are personal and not necessarily those of Sun Microsystems
