Hi, I'm fighting the same issue (running sxce/snv_116).
What I checked so far: rhythmbox: lists the tracks, when I hit play it pretends to play (the slider moves), but no sound and the drive isn't spinning sound-juicer: doesn't even list the tracks. gst-launch playbin uri=cdda://1 gives: Setting pipeline to PAUSED ... Pipeline is PREROLLING ... Pipeline is PREROLLED ... Setting pipeline to PLAYING ... New clock: GstAudioSinkClock ^CCaught interrupt -- handling interrupt. Interrupt: Stopping pipeline ... Execution ended after 7779821263 ns. Setting pipeline to PAUSED ... Setting pipeline to READY ... Setting pipeline to NULL ... but no sound. cdda2wav -O wav -alltracks lists the tracks, pretends to extract the audio, but is too fast (71min cd dumped in ~10secs). drive not spinning, all audio data in the files is zeros cd-paranoia d /dev/rdsk/c0t1d0s2 -w -B -- works and gets the data xmms: works just fine, lists the tracks, plays the audio Quite bizarre...
