Hello,
I just installed the firefox 2.0.0.5 solaris8 sparc build
(from tarball). There is a problem when I start it.
I get a pop-up warning:

"Could not initialize the browser's security component. The most likely
cause is problems with files in your browser's profile directory. Please
check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard
disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the
browser and fix the problem. If you continue to use this browser session,
you might see incorrect browser behaviour when accessing security
features."

And, indeed, I cannot make an https connection to any website, since
SSL is disabled. However, there are no R/W problems with my
profile, and I have over 700 MB free space in my home directory
volume. My home directory is on an AFS volume, and I can use the
same profile to start linux firefox 2.0.0.5 with no problem.
I have have never had a problem like this with previous solaris
builds (e.g., 2.0.0.4).

I thought that perhaps there was something about AFS which might be
confusing this version. But I moved my .mozilla dir to a local
disk and had the same problem. Also tried moving my .mozilla
aside and letting firefox create a new one, and tried with another
account. All had the problem on solaris (8 and 10); never had a
problem with linux.

So there seems to be a bug in this build.

Thanks for your time and attention.
