Frank, When click an URL in Thunderbird, gnome_show_url() will be called. It will invoke firefox with the URL.
Can you try the following for me with the account that has the issue? 1. Open a terminal 2. run "truss -f -o /tmp/thunderbird.truss /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird-bin" 3. quit when problem occurs. Please send the /tmp/thunderbird.truss to me. Thanks Brian ? 2009?10?27? 08:01, Frank Middleton ??: > On 10/21/09 10:50 AM, Frank Middleton wrote: >> On 10/21/09 10:27, Brian Lu wrote: >>> Which thunderbird do you use? 2.0.x or 3.0b4? >> >> 3.0b4 > > This obviously isn't a bug because even in this instance, the > inability to have Firefox respond to a click on a URL in an > email only affects one user. > > Tried the following combinations (all with Thunderbird 3.0b4) > > sxce snv124 and sxce snv125 with Firefox 3.5.2 and 3.5.3 > OpenSolaris b125 with Firefox 3.5.3. > > Tried deleting that user's .gnome2 directory. > > Can you shed any insight into what mechanism is used to make > the connexion between Thunderbird and Firefox?
