Pidgin IM does not seem to behave w.r.t. buddy mgmt on
OpenSolaris builds lately...
Running builds 129, 133, 135, some buddies in pidgin that
would belong under the Oracle peers group, instead show
as unfiled. The /home/myname/.purple/blist.xml file looks sane
w.r.t. the entries that are misfiled.
- If I highlight a buddy, right click, move to another group,
it is not persistant. Upon restart, the buddies are right back
where they were.
- if I go into the /home/myname/.purple and edit the blist.xml,
it is not persistant, the buddies (and that xml file) go right back
to the way it was on next start of Pidgin.
Who has "pidgin clue" that can help me understand how to move
buddies around? Or is this some known or secret bug in the Solaris
version?
