hey all,

so i think that rtmp http tunneling is broken for firefox + flash on
solaris. you can test this feature using a flash app on the following
website (scroll down to the "RTMP Port Checking" section):

        http://player.bitgravity.com/debug

when i go to the website above and run the app i get the following
results:

        Bitgravity RTMP Port Checker
        RTMP DEFAULT Success
        RTMP 80 Success
        RTMP 443 Success
        RTMP 1935 Success
        HTTP Tunneling DEFAULT Failed
        HTTP Tunneling 80 Failed

i don't think that this is a recent regression in flash or firefox since
i've tested the following combinations of firefox and flash and none of
them work:

        firefox flash
        3.6.8 9,0,125,0
        3.6.8 9,0,151,0
        3.6.8 10,0,22,87
        3.6.8 10,1,82,76
        3.0.1 9.0.125

is this functionality known to be broken or unsupported?

ps - here's some background on how i discovered this issue. i'm running
x86 snv_147 on my desktop at work and my laptop at home. recently at
work i've been moved onto a new network where i'm behind a firewall and
i have to use a web proxy. after this move i noticed that certain types
of streaming media no longer work with the flash player. after digging
into the problem some more i found the rtmp test page above. initially
i thought that perhaps the problem was that my web proxy at work was
explicitly blocking rtmp http tunneling. but when i got home i
discovered that my laptop also failed at rtmp http tunneling when it was
directly connected to the internet (while a windows box at home works
just fine).
