According to the bug report, Bug 495392 was fixed in Thunderbird 3.1 and Thunderbird 3.0.4.
If you met other copy&paste crashes, it is not this bug, please report another one. You can attach 'pstack core' result to your bug report. BTW: I cannot reproduce your crash.
