I'm using it, it has it's niggles ... I used to use the "Firefox 2 theme" ... and that isn't compatible in a very major way (every possible icon was displayed instead of each individual icon) ... in fact removing all themes, if you use them, before you start might well save you a lot of headache
make sure you have the latest version of flash, if you're using it, but the flash containers do work relatively well now (early beta's were terrible). most of my plugins work fine ... some of them I had to tell it they were compatible, but most of the good ones have been updated to work with 4. It does have a load of new features ... I'm not sure if I actually use any of them though If you have NVidia graphics, with the 3D drivers from them, the browser can do all sorts of interesting 3d acceleration, unfortunately the Xorg that comes with Solaris is just a little too old for Firefox to take advantage of. I liked 3.6, I'm still getting used to 4 ... If you get angry easily, or have a short temper, I'd stay with 3.6 for a while. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ desktop-discuss mailing list desktop-discuss@opensolaris.org
