Hi Ian,
Anthy aux window is not available through IIIMF. If you switch
your IM framework from IIIMF to IBUS, it will be available.
To switch to ibus, install ibus* packages and then use
imf-selector GUI if your system is Solaris EX 2010.11.
If you are using earlier release, (if my memory is correct)
add GTK_IM_MODULE=ibus in $HOME/.Xdefaults and also you may
need to manually start ibus server through gnome-session-properties.
In either case, you need to re-start desktop session.
Thanks,
Fuyuki

I am looking for a way to configure Anthy in Solaris and not having much
luck. When switching to Japanese input mode on Linux distributions I
have used in the past, a floating toolbar appears, providing access to
Anthy's settings, but this toolbar appears to be absent on
OpenSolaris/Solaris 11 Express. Searching the web has revealed a number
of Linux-oriented suggestions of programs to run that should manually
open the Anthy toolbar or an Anthy configuration window, but none of
these executables are present in S11X.
What I am specifically trying to do is change from Romaji input to Kana
input (where one key = one kana instead of Roman character input being
turned into kana). This should be possible in Anthy, but I can't find
any way to configure it. Is there a way to do this (doesn't have to be
GUI-based)?
Thank you,
Ian Johnson
