Actually the problem is quite simple: Firefox is supposed to remember which urls have been visited. Deepending on the status (active, visited, not visited) urls can be styled accordingly. Having this distinction is important especially for community sites such as reddit, slashdot and other.
Most of the time Firefox remembers if a certain url has been visited or not. However, for some urls it does not. It looks like if this is the case for urls that are rather short and end with an short id / hash value. For example on reddit under http://www.reddit.com/r/funny/ there are plenty of urls to imgur.com that are not remembered as visited. For example: https://imgur.com/0L7vV I could not figure out a certain pattern that indicates if an url is remembered or not. Some imgur links are, but a lot of them are not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/828391 Title: Some urls are not shown as already visited.
