Sometimes it says GSM when I have way more bandwidth than what 2.xG supports (See the screenshot). Other times it says HSUPA when bandwidth is at a snails pace. The status looks like this: 3 Internet (3 UK GSM) 3 Internet (3 UK HSUPA) If the status correctly updated, this would be a useful feature. When bandwidth goes slow, I would be able to click on the NM applet and check to see whether I've lost HSUPA signal and fallen back to GSM. Ideally the status should be refined to support these 4 values: * '2.5G - GPRS' * '2.75G - EDGE' * '3G - UMTS' * '3.5G - HSPA' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/828423/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
