On the home screen, look at the application tile for "VLC" in the "Top Rated" area. What you see: "AudioVideo;Player" What you should see: "Sound & Video" It seems to be showing the raw Category data from the .desktop files, rather than the USC category and subcategory. If fixing this requires the new database needed for bug 426999 and bug 554180, and that can't be implemented in time, I think it would be better in the meantime just not to show any category/subcategory data at all.
