I'm using Evolution 2.32.2 with Ubuntu 11.04 and I experience the same or a very similar problem. The sidebar shows that there are unread messages in the junk folder, but if I look at the folder, it is empty. However, if I choose 'Show Deleted Messages' in the View menu, the messages in the junk folder show up. They are not marked as deleted (that is, they are not crossed out). I had the problem already in 10.10. I installed Ubuntu on a different computer, but I have imported my settings from the old one.
