Thunderbird doesn't have anything to do with the rendering of its menu in the panel. Reassigning to unity
** Package changed: thunderbird (Ubuntu) => unity (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/779380 Title: menu overlayed by indicator applications Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Binary package hint: thunderbird Thunderbird menu structure is too long, so it get's overlayed by indicator applications in the global menu bar. Last menu items can only be reached by using the arrow keys. Probably this will be also a problem for other applications. My proposal: Last menu items which can't be displayed should be available in a drop down menu item ">>" or something like this.
