Okay, I'm more than willing to help out where I can.
I did submit everything that the bug uploader requested. If you think the nautilus crashing brings up the crash dialog, it doesn't. It just silently crashes. I can try to run it in a terminal, but that still won't generate a crash report being generated. I'll look at the instructions again when I can, but not sure how much more I can add. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where_my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/830706 Title: Nautilus crashes in trash bin when selecting files Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Any ways, so I want to know how to post a bug report about Nautilus 2.32.2.1 in Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal / Studio) It's a reproducible bug, assuming you have enough things in your trash bin to make it think about it.
