If Ubuntu is going to switch to Thunderbird as the default mail client in Oneiric, I think we either need to remove the Online Accounts capplet, or include the necessary infrastructure to allow Thunderbird to link to Google contacts and calendars. Otherwise, it just appears broken when a user adds their Google Account information and nothing happens in Thunderbird.
Also, the VoIP and Messaging Accounts capplet should be removed or folded into the Online Accounts capplet, IMHO. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/833441 Title: Online Accounts capplet has no accounts listed Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: As you can see in the attached screenshot, there are no accounts listed in the Online Accounts part of the GNOME Control Center shipped in Oneiric. I currently have a number of Chat and Gwibber accounts set up and working well, so those accounts should be visible. When I try to add an account by clicking the + button it only shows Google as a provider.
