Hi Pedro, I just tried testing with the new Oneiric beta live CD. Though since Oneiric uses Unity by default, I'm somewhat disoriented and couldn't find a way to check the error. I'm not even sure if testing this in Unity is an option anyway: is Oneiric using gnome-control-center? If not, is there anything similar I should test? Thanks for feedback.

Set up gnome-display-properties so that it's icon appears on the indicator area of the Gnome panel. 2. Open some application window, preferably in full screen. 3. Using the panel icon, change the screen rotation. The confirmation dialog appears silently behind the window, so it can get very annoying, since after the 30 seconds timeout, the screen will be reseted to it's original state. The intended behaviour should be the same as when using gnome-display-manager from the System/Settings menu: a nice, visible confirmation dialog in the upper left corner.
