Allow me a thumb question, where is the configurator for the backlight dimming? We are on beta now, fresh packages in the last minutes but the bug still exists. What can the old profile set wrong in difference to the new profile? Is there a chance to reset some thing in the old profile?

It jumps while simply using the computer to full power in battery mode. The thinkpad buttons only move the thinkpad osd slider, but the backlight stays full power. If the pointer is moved or a key pressed, the backlight jumps back to normal and switchable state. I did not found an option in the new gnome power manager to handle the brightness. Seems that the machine idle turns the backlight on full power, need sunglasses now.
