Hi Emilis, thanks for your reply! And please, no apology needed at all,
no bug is ever time wasting!

I'm glad it's fixed after restart.  I suspect that this is actually a
duplicate of bug 772549, so I will mark it as such (the workaround there
is to restart or kill an existing software-center process, so that seems
to fit your description of what happened.

  I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and I tried to run Ubuntu Software Center, but
  it didn't load though it loaded before. The Ubuntu Software Center is
  version 5.0.6, checked by "apt-cache policy software-center".
