Title:
Stops responding to mouse clicks and won't open the VPN menu

Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I'm running 12.04 x64.

When I first boot up indicator-network works fine, but after a while
of use (and possibly a suspend or two) it stops responding to mouse
clicks. It will open when selected, but none of the menu items work.
Also the VPN submenu opens as a tiny sliver and is also completely
  unusable.

The only way around it is to restart the computer.
