  Some characters in PDF documents are not printed properly

Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  I have a PDF document (made by LibreOffice writer in Ubuntu). When I
  view it in Evince, it looks fine. But when I print it, some characters
  are replaced by a hollow rectangle.

  The same PDF documents prints correctly in ePDFviewer.

  The printer is HP Laserjet 4200n.

  In the attached document, the "!" in the headline is replaced with a
  hollow rectangle in print.
