Title:
/usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gnome-settings-daemon hogs CPU
Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
While I am on a GNOME Shell session, gnome-settings-daemon would start
hogging the CPU (using 100% of a CPU core). This doesn't necessarily
from the beginning of the session, rather it usually happens after an
hour or so of the session.
Note, I have been experiencing this problem since Oneiric, and still
having this problem in Precise.
