You have been subscribed to a public bug:
When clicking "Dash Home" on the Unity bar on the left side of the
screen. A small window saying "Dash Home" automatically appears to let
the user know what button it is. This is great, however the "Dash Home"
words stay visible after clicking the button and they cover exactly
where you need to type to get to your application so you cannot see what
you are typing. Like I said this is only an annoyance not a big deal,
but I would love to see it fixed. I know simply moving the mouse will
remove this problem, but it is a pain to have to remember to move the
mouse the words should disappear when the search box opens.
