That doesn't seem like something where design input is required but a
rendering bug ...
Is that still an issue? I don't see that on current precise, it might
well have been fixed with newer versions

Artifacts in the icon overlay in the dash
System:
* Ubuntu Precise, ~2012-03-06
* Unity 3D on free Radeon HD 54xx drivers
Steps to reproduce:
1) Using unity 3D open the dash
2) Highlight any of the application/content icons
3) Observe the rounding on the highlight box - the top-left and top-right
corners are good, the remaining bottom corners seem to have scaling artifacts.
