so it would be interessting to know what is causing this timeout. Could you 
please attach 
/var/log/syslog and /var/log/apt/history.log to this bugreport?

Title:
  package installation not complete

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I start installing a package (in this case MyUnity, but I experienced the 
problem also with other packages e.g.Pdgin, Evolution). While installation 
still in progress I get the situation shown in the 1st screen shot and 
installation stops; I press "Install" button again and installation restarts as 
shown in the 2nd screen-shot. After a few minutes the installation ends as 
shown by the 3rd screen shot, but the icon caption is "installazione in corso" 
(installation on progress) instead of MyUnity.
