Title:
tooltips persist when workspace is switched
Status in Unity:
Fix Released
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Version:
Ubuntu 11.04
Unity 3.8.16-0ubuntu1~natty1
Steps:
Tooltip shown as a result of a mouse hover (normal tooltip, nothing to do
with launcher).
Workspace switcher invoked from keyboard shortcut (default Mod4+S)
Another workspace selected
OR workspace shifted to directly (Ctrl+Alt + left/right/up/down)
Expected:
Tooltip not visible
Actual:
Tooltip appears at same point on screen as it was created. Stays up until
mouse goes into and out of the original tooltip creation zone.
Looking at the previews in the workspace switcher, it appears that the
tooltip is created on all workspaces simultaneously.
Any of the following would fix it:
Only create it on the relevant workspace, so that when I switch it doesn't
appear.
Do the mouse tracking a little better so that any mouse movement on the new
workspace removes it quicker
Kill the tooltip the moment any workspace switching actions occur.
