Thank you for your bug report, that issue is not an unity one but mostly
a nautilus bug (well not so much a bug that the older filename needs to
be kept around to not break user configs on upgrade), setting as invalid
since it has already been reported

Title:
problems with nautilus in the laucher
Status in Unity:

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
running on ubuntu 12.04 last updated on 16/03
when opening the nautilus (home folder) another icon is added to the
launcher instead of adding an triangel next to existing one.
I tried to fix it by removing home folder from launcher and add it again.
After removing it from launcher I searched on DASH for it.
1. Searching on DASH for nutilus I get it twice once as "Files" which
I can't lock to the launcher by drag an drop but if opening first and
than locking it works and once as "Home Folder", which can be locked
on launcher by drag and drop.(see attached img about 2 entries on
DASH)
2. Now I get a redused list of options when right clickig and not hte
full list as used to get before (see attached img).
At least when opening it now it does not add a new icon but adds the
triangel next to the existing one as expected, which was the initial
problem I had.
