Title:
way to maximize without covering launcher
Status in Unity:
Fix Released
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
I do wish there was a way to tell Unity to maximize application
windows without covering the launcher. If I am regularly using a few
apps on a small screen then I do want to have them use most of the
screen, but I also want to be able to quickly flip between them and to
see activity notifications from backgrounded apps.
I don't want Unity to proliferate many per-user settings, but perhaps
there is an elegant way to do this. Maybe it could be reached by
dragging the title bar almost but not quite to the top, or something
like that.
