Title:
NetworkManager Mobile Broadband first-time setup dialog keeps
reappearing on login, even after the connection has been configured
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
The dialog for the first-time setup of a Mobile Broadband network card
(actually a USB "stick") keeps reappearing upon login, even after the
connection has already been configured. I have observed this problem
on a freshly reinstalled netbook with Ubuntu 9.04 "Jaunty" beta.
PS: I have also noticed that the location and provider database of the mobile
broadband setup shows errors on several countries! This could be another
sympthom of the same cause for the problem.
By the way, the reappearing dialogue is annoying besides an otherwise
fantastic release of Ubuntu. These mobile broadband devices became very common
here in the Nordic countries.
