the issue there is rather a compiz one than an unity one, is that still
happening?

Title:
Can't drag window by titlebar if launched from .xprofile

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: unity

  [Problem]
Windows can be placed on screen in ways that inhibit being able to move them,
such as by launching them in a .xprofile.

  [Steps to reproduce]
Create a ~/.xprofile that launches some gnome-terminal sessions with
specified geometries:

    gnome-terminal --geometry=103x29+0+0 &
    gnome-terminal --geometry=115x20+1920+25 &

  etc.

On boot, I find that the windows are not always positioned where I
intended them (annoying but a lesser issue), and that sometimes
they're placed such that the titlebar overlays the main menu bar at
the top of the screen. When this happens, I can no longer drag the
window by clicking on the window's titlebar, even though I can see it.
  (see photo).

The workaround I used was to Alt+Click on the window itself and drag,
so this isn't a huge issue. And I can't seem to launch new gnome-
terminal sessions into the incorrect position once unity is up and
running, so this is probably a pretty small corner case. Still
  annoying though...
