Title:
Ubuntu 12.04 Beta - Startup Applications doesn't save settings

Status in “gnome-session” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I run Startup Applications select Guake (a quake style terminal) and
click the close button. Reboot the system and Guake is not loaded.
Check Startup Applications and Guake is unselected again. Select it
and click close then reopen and it is again unselected.

To test if it is only Guake I add GEdit to the list and click close.
Then open Startup Applications again and it is missing.

I tried to find the Startup Application pid or package but couldn't
  find it.
