Title:
Launcher groups windows of the same application
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I've been using Unity a few hours. I'm getting really frustrated.
Here's what I don't understand: The distinction between programs and
instances is fundamental to using a desktop PC effectively, and yet
unity makes an assumption that I'll only ever have one instance of an
application open, or at best it looks like multiple-windows have been
grudgingly bolted on to Unity.
There are three very simple things that need to be done to fix this:
* ungroup the windows
* display the window titles in the taskbar
* allow moving the taskbar to a long edge of the screen so that window titles
are readable
