This problem seems to still persist in Precise Pandolin. Even worst, I
can't seem to find a way to install it ...

Title:
Copy b43 firmware from live system to installed system

Status in “jockey” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
When booting the Ubuntu 8.04 RC1 64Bit CD, the software recognises my
Wifi card, and asks me if i want to load the restricted drivers, as
i'd expect it to. However if i thin install from the CD, to all the
hard disk. the Machine reboots, and under restricted drivers, my ATI
card is listed, but not the Broadcom card.

If i thin follow the instructions, referred to on the Linux wireless
webpage, (found these by typeing dmesg) And install the Wifi Cutter
and Driver, the Wifi will then setup, after a reboot, the Restricted
drivers manager then lists the Wifi card as in use.
