I am attaching an image, although I don't think it's very useful for
this type of bug. "manipulate devices" is meant to be highlighted in the
image. The slight grey change might not be visible in the screenshot.

It is best to try to replicate it.
1. Open the Software Centre.
2. Select an application.
3. Try to highlight part of description of the application (not the name of it,
but the description).
4. Observe the lack of the usual orange highlighting, and a very slight grey
change instead.
5. Right click and select Copy, then paste elsewhere to show that it actually
was highlighted.

** Description changed:

In software-center 5.2 (12.04) with the default theme, highlighted text
- is difficult to see. Sometimes I think the text becomes slightly
- lighter, but other times I do not see any change at all, so I am not
- sure if I imagined it. This is opposed to being surrounded by orange and
- the text becoming white as expected by the default theme.

I think this is different from
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/929974
as that seems to be about an earlier version not having copying or
highlighting functionality at all.
