Title:
Jockey common crashes when trying to download restricted ATI driver
Status in “jockey” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: jockey-common
I was trying to activate the ATI/AMD proprietary FLGRX graphics driver
through the Hardware Drivers application on Jaunty (which I upgraded
directly from a clean CD install of Intrepid) . A dialog saying
"downloading ..." came up, but no progress was made for a while
(despite the fact that System monitor said that the network card was
downloading furiously from the Internet.) I went to lunch. When I
came back, there was a message box saying,
"Sorry, the Jockey backend crashed. Please file a bug at:
ubuntu-bug jockey-common
Trying to recover by restarting backend."
Apt-cache says: Installed: 0.5-0ubuntu10
