After adding this it works perfectly:

in /etc/samba/smb.conf add the following to the bottom of the [global]
section:

client lanman auth = yes
client ntlmv2 auth = no

  Mounting an Active Directory share in Nautilus tells me that i have to check 
my credentials, but they are OK.
  Unable to log in to Windows share.
