Title:
  Won't let me install if network manager is not managing connection

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  I configured my desktop to have a static IP address on my network and
  I don't let network manager manage the connection.  This makes SC seem
  to think I am not connected to the internet at all and refuses to
  enable any "install" buttons.

  It also says: "No network connection - Connect to the Internet to see
  more reviews"

  It's plainly wrong.
