Public bug reported: If your Monitor falls back to a resolution of 640x480 (Due to a crash of a fullscreen-game), you can't use the Display of "gnome-control-center" because the window is taller than 480px. You can't resize the window either. so you have no chance to click the "Apply" button with your mouse.
To see it your self, you have to put your Resolution down to 640x480 and try to reset it to a higher Resolution. Work around: press [Alt] + [A] (English) or [Alt] + [W] (German) to apply your settings without clicking the Button. Work around2: hold [Alt] and drag the Window at it's center. You can drag it high enough to actually click "Apply".
