Title:
Nvidia proprietery driver shouldn't be installed by default on
multiple gpu laptops (Dell Vostro 3300/3500/2700)

Status in “jockey” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Hi,

After installing Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin on a Dell Vostro
3300/3500/3700 laptop with both an Intel GPU and a nVidia GPU, 3D
  acceleration is not working.

Indeed, the nVidia proprietary driver nvidia-current has been
automatically installed whereas it would need Bumblebee to work.

An other issue is that the nVidia proprietary driver doesn't appear in
the "Additionnal drivers" application (Jockey ?) so the end user will
have to manually uninstall the nvidia-current package to get proper
  acceleration support.
