You can call the bug invalid since it enables you to close it.

However my original point is correct. If you try apropos dns or apropos
resolver or look at any number of man pages you will not find any man
page that tells you how to shut off network manager changing the dns
confiruations set by the DNS and DHCP administrator.

Title:
Document removing dnsmasq or better yet allow dhcp server override

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I checked various man pages in the network-manger package and none document
overriding the new dnsmasq caching server.

  stgraber 2011-12-13:
   - After discussion with mdeslaur, we'll still turn on dnsmasq by
default in Network Manager but document how to turn it off (comment
  the dns= line in /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf).

Better still would be to include hooks to allow a dhcp administrator
  to override clients using dnsmasq.
