Title: [power]: gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in engine_update_composite_device() Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The crash occurred about one or two minutes after the trail session had started as choosen from the live startup dialogue. This happens each time when I boot the live image which has been installed onto a SanDisk Cruser Blade USB memory stick with a capacity of 8 GB. It makes no difference whether I boot from powering on the system or after a reboot from a previous trail session. The system is a lenovo T61 Notebook (64bit architecture) and the distribution image is a 32-bit dsktop version of ubuntu 12.04 release candidate The same phenomenon happens also on my other system, an Acer Aspire One netbook D250 which has a 32-bit architecture. I used the same Cruser Blade to redoo the test. It makes no difference whether I start working in the session with other programs or whether I let the live system untouched after it came up. --> after about 2 minutes the error gets reported but the sessin seems to survive.
