Oops, I lied - I forgot I hadn't upgraded at work, so I didn't have 12.04. I do now though, and have the same problem (no report in design view, and no report wizard). Existing reports open with the example field data filled in, instead of my query data.

After the installation the item "Create Report in Design View..." appeared in the Report view of LibreOffice Base. But nothing happens when I click on this item. Additionally the report wizard stopped working. When I click on "Use Wizard to Create Report..." it shows the error message "No valid template was found". I tried to remove libreoffice-report-builder to get the wizard working again and that worked fine.
