In turn, the whole desktop is moved down the hight in pixels of the nautilus menu. Test case: 1) remove package indicator-appmenu 2) logout and login again A transparent unity panel makes the nautilus menu below visible. The nautilus menu must not be setup, at least not if the unity panel is setup. Not sure what package is affected so marking this on package unity.
