Title:
Removing power when lid is closed doesn't trigger battery 'lid is
  closed' event

Status in Gnome Powermanager:
  Fix Released
Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
distro: edgy (since I upgraded from dapper)
  laptop: thinkpad t43p

In Gnome's power management, I have set the lid closed event to lock
the screen when running on AC and to suspend the machine when running
  on batteries.

If I close the lid in either state the correct thing happens.
However, if I close the lid then remove the power cable the laptop
does not suspend. It did suspend with dapper.
